Site Sealants Ltd acted as a specialised contractor to carry out structural waterproofing to an underground car park decked area in the city of Glasgow. In this project we chose to use Procor 75 to the main deck area and this was covered and protected by a 3mm Servidek protection board, taped and sealed at all edges and joins in order to protect the waterproofing membrane.
All upstands were treated with a Serviband joint and any intrusions into the main deck were sealed using Bituthene LM. Any part of the concrete which had been damaged was repaired with Betec NSM and deteriorated upstands were treated with Betec NSM concrete repair mortar. The existing mastic joint was removed and replaced by Geocel 200.
Root Barrier and Hydroduct 401 were then fitted to the decked area to allow the main contractors Land Engineering Ltd to fit their Green Roof system
Surfact preparation (removal of the existing waterproof membrane) was carried out using ultra-high pressure jetting by N.E.T. Scotland.
All of the above products supplied by Grace Construction Products apart from the Geocel 200 which was supplied by Geocel UK.
